edit: Well, WEEI just said he was awake and alert the whole time, and the results of his CAT scan were negative. They're keeping him overnight and I guess will reevaluate in the morning. Doesn't sound great, but at least it doesn't sound like he has a broken neck or anything.

The news now is that his CT scans were negative and he's been alert and conscious the whole time, but it's still one of the worst things I've seen happen on the mound.

Also: very glad that Clement is all right. I didn't see the game (and still haven't watched the replay) but from everything I've heard it was the scariest thing ever. As for the Damon/Jackson collision (which almost made me cry), I was heartened by his little wave on the stretcher until I read that he thought he was walking off the field after his last game for the A's.
